The project “ A Growing Annual Pride for the Financial Sustainability and Institutional Strengthtening of LGL” aims to strengthen the financial sustainability of the national LGBT rights organization LGL, ensure strategic development, develop volunteer activities, and engage in public policy processes through the organization of annual Pride events.
LGL will submit proposals for the involvement of state and local government institutions in organizing the Baltic Pride 2025 festival; based on existing examples of best international practice, prepare the LGL’s operational strategy for 2026-2030, so that it meets the priority strategic goal of promoting human rights and equal opportunities and combating discrimination, including in the areas of freedom of assembly and expression. To strengthen its ties with business entities, LGL will organize fundraising meetings for the Baltic Pride 2025 festival, a business networking fair during the Baltic Pride 2025 LGBTI+ Inclusive Business Conference, a Pride business networking meeting during the EPBN annual conference in Vilnius, and a Pride Rainbow Bus Tour in Vilnius. LGL will also establish ties with regional NGOs by organizing NGO networking meetings in Klaipėda and Šiauliai.
As part of this project, LGL will hire a volunteer coordinator, who will be responsible for implementing the Pride volunteer program. LGL volunteers will participate in trainings and volunteer meetings, organize workshops at Pride House, and the most motivated volunteers will represent the organization at the international IGLYO conference.
LGL will also strengthen international cooperation and employee competencies by participating in the annual conference of the international Pride Organizers Association EPOA, and the EuroPride conference.
It is expected that the project will strengthen LGL’s financial sustainability, ensure strategic development, and strengthen the LGL team with new employees and volunteers.
