This bilateral cooperation project aims to strengthen the advocacy capacity of the Lithuanian Gay League (LGL) in promoting LGBTIQ+ equality at both the national and European Union levels. Through close cooperation with the European Pride Business Network (EPBN), the project focuses on advancing workplace inclusion, strengthening evidence-based advocacy, and developing effective responses to the growing anti-gender backlash across Europe.

The project will enhance LGL’s expertise in applying EU legal frameworks and best practices on workplace equality to national advocacy efforts. A key activity will be an exchange visit during WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, where representatives of LGL and EPBN will participate in international conferences, expert discussions, and networking events. The partners will also organise a joint thematic session exploring the interaction between EU law, workplace inclusion, and human rights advocacy.

Drawing on the knowledge and experience gained throughout the project, LGL and EPBN will prepare a set of policy recommendations for Lithuanian and European institutions on the more effective implementation of EU non-discrimination principles in the field of workplace inclusion. The project will also strengthen long-term cooperation between both organisations and create a foundation for future joint advocacy initiatives at the European level.

The project’s target groups include LGL and EPBN staff and experts, national and EU decision-makers, public authorities, business stakeholders, and the wider LGBTIQ+ community. In the long term, the project will contribute to stronger human rights advocacy, greater workplace inclusion, and closer international cooperation in advancing equality and non-discrimination.
