The CLICK project, coordinated by the University of Girona and implemented together with 6 partner organizations, including LGL, is directed at connecting families and educators to combat violence and improve the well-being of LGBTIQ children by placing the children’s interests in the center and working together. In this line, the objective of the CLICK project is to improve the well-being of LGBTIQ children through a comprehensive approach at education that connects education settings and rainbow families.
This aim will be achieved through a mix of interdisciplinary methodology and a participatory approach, involving LGBTIQ children throughout the project. Through 24 months and 4 stages, the project will develop a needs assessment of the experiences of LGBTIQ children and rainbow families in educational settings, organize an information campaign and events for rainbow families, create guidelines and trainings for supporting intersex and transgender children and youth, and raise awareness of the general population about violence against LGBTIQ children in vulnerable contexts. The project will end with a final conference to present and discuss project results with educational professionals, rainbow families, policy makers, and activists, as well as with LGBTIQ children.
