Thousands Expected as Lithuanian Pride 2026 Launches Week of Celebration and Activism

The international LGBT community festival Lithuanian Pride 2026 begins today in Vilnius. The five-day festival is the largest human rights event in Lithuania, bringing together members of the LGBT community, human rights activists, and public leaders from Lithuania and abroad.

The festival is organized by the National LGBT rights organization LGL. This year’s theme, “For Family Equality,” highlights the need to ensure equality, visibility, and legal protection for all families in Lithuania.

This year’s main highlights include cultural and community events, an international conference, the traditional March for Equality!, and a free open-air concert at Kalnų Park featuring Spanish Eurovision stars Nebulossa and Lithuania’s representative at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest Lion Ceccah.

Main Festival Events

Throughout the festival week, community gatherings, meetings, and evening events will take place at Estradà, focusing on strengthening LGBT visibility, creativity, and community spirit.

On June 4, Estradà will host a queer cabaret evening featuring Belgian drag performer LaDiva Live. The audience can expect a night filled with music, humor, and self-expression showcasing contemporary queer cabaret culture.

On June 5, the international conference “Rainbow Families: Towards Legal, Social and Institutional Equality” will take place at the Vilnius City Municipality conference hall. Experts, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders from the Nordic and Baltic countries as well as Ukraine will participate.

The conference program will also include the discussion “Political Dialogue: Ensuring Security, Dignity and Equal Opportunities for Rainbow Families,” featuring:

  • Laurynas Šedvydis, Chair of the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee
  • Dainius Žalimas, Member of the European Parliament
  • Vytautas Mitalas, leader of the Freedom Party
  • Simonas Gentvilas, Member of Parliament

The conference will address the legal, social, and institutional challenges faced by rainbow families, violence prevention, inclusive workplaces, and policy recommendations for achieving family equality.

The festival’s central event will be the “For Equality!” march on June 6. Participants will gather from 12:00 PM near the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania and begin marching along Gediminas Avenue toward Kalnų Park at 3:00 PM. This year’s message is: “All families in Lithuania matter.”

Following the march, a free open-air festival concert will take place at Kalnų Park, organized in cooperation with M.A.M.A. The lineup includes Lithuanian and international performers: Nebulossa, Lion Ceccah, French singer Savanah, Sandra Carrillo, Ruslanas Kirilkinas, and drag performers LaDiva Live and Catherine d’Oex. The event will also feature the Rainbow Awards ceremony.

The organizers of Lithuanian Pride 2026 invite everyone to join the festival events and help build a more open, inclusive, and safer society for all.
