On the evening of June 2, 2026, the garden of the United Kingdom Embassy in Vilnius was transformed by rainbow colors as it hosted the launch reception for the Lithuanian Pride 2026 festival. The gathering brought together human rights activists, diplomats, business representatives, and everyone who values equality and inclusion.
The atmosphere of the summer evening was shaped not only by colorful decorations and informal conversations, but also by a strong sense of community. Guests were welcomed by Lucy Maizels, Deputy Head of Mission at the United Kingdom Embassy in Lithuania, who emphasized that an open and diverse society begins with respect for every individual.
The evening was filled with smiles, new connections, and discussions about the upcoming Lithuanian Pride 2026 events. Attendees were among the first to learn about the festival’s key highlights, which, according to the organizers, will not only celebrate diversity but also encourage dialogue about human rights, equality, and community spirit.
The reception in the colorful embassy garden served as a symbolic launch for the events taking place from June 2–6, which are expected to bring together thousands of participants from Lithuania and abroad. Organizers hope that Lithuanian Pride 2026 will become not only a citywide celebration but also an important opportunity to remind society that every person has the right to feel accepted and safe.
