Mark your calendar. On 22 October 2026, LGL and our partners bring the Connecting the Dots project to a close with a hybrid final event, streamed live on LinkedIn, and you’re invited!
Over the past two years, Connecting the Dots has worked to open doors to meaningful employment for LGBTI+ people in Lithuania and Bulgaria who too often find those doors closed. Career guidance, interview preparation, connections to inclusive employers, real internships at leading companies, this is where it all comes together.
At the event you’ll hear directly from the people at the heart of the project: participants who rebuilt their careers, employers who opened their workplaces, and the counsellors who walked the road with them. We’ll share what worked, what we learned, and how the “bridge to employment” model can outlast the project itself.
Expect an interactive half-day: keynote voices from across Europe, honest conversations, a virtual Career Marketplace connecting talent with inclusive employers, and the first public screening of our participant story films.
Call for speakers & contributions
We’re building the programme now, and we want your voice in it. We invite researchers, practitioners, employers, HR and DEI professionals, activists, and community members to propose a contribution on the themes at the core of Connecting the Dots:
- LGBTI+ inclusion and the pathway to employment
- Building genuinely inclusive workplaces and recruitment
- Supporting NEET youth, migrants, and people facing intersecting barriers
- Practical models, tools, and lived experience that others can learn from
Contributions can take the form of a short keynote, a panel seat, a lightning talk, or a case study from your own work. To propose one, send a short title and a few sentences describing your idea, along with a line about who you are, to office@gay.lt by September 10, 2026.
