On 8th June, 2017 the National LGBT* Rights Organization LGL held a fun and relaxing board games evening in the LGBT* community center. It was attended by more than a dozen of local and international young people currently living in Vilnius.
LGL’s EVS volunteers Tatiana and Giordano made sure that the guests would enjoy a variety of refreshments, good music and most importantly fun and entertaining board games. The joyful atmosphere soon morphed into closer discussions where participants exchanged information on their interests, projects they are currently working on and naturally proceeded into inviting each other to various events and artistic initiatives.
This social event proved to be a successful way of connecting people and nevertheless a powerful tool for further networking. The main goal of social events organized by LGL is to provide a safe and welcoming space for community members and encourage them to engage collectively in productive initiatives.
