Baltic Pride 2025 Launched with a Press Conference in Vilnius

On June 2, 2025, the Baltic Pride 2025 festival — the largest human rights event in the Baltic region — was officially launched with a press conference held at the Pride House at Estradà in central Vilnius. The National LGBT rights organization LGL invited members of the media to learn more about the festival’s program, vision, and key initiatives for this year.

Key Speakers and Highlights

Vladimir Simonko, Executive Director of LGL, emphasized that Baltic Pride is not just a celebration, but also a powerful social message promoting solidarity, visibility, and respect for human rights.

Eglė Kuktoraitė, Communications Manager at LGL, presented the festival program, which this year includes not only the traditional “March for Equality!” but also an international human rights conference, a wide range of cultural events, and community-driven initiatives that foster inclusion and dialogue.

Ieva Dirmaitė, Chair of the Human Rights Commission of the Vilnius City Municipality, highlighted the city’s role in supporting human rights initiatives and creating an open, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.

Martynas Tyla, Chairman of the Music Awards Association (M.A.M.A), spoke about the music industry’s solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. He also introduced the upcoming Baltic Pride concert near the White Bridge, which will feature performances by well-known artists from Lithuania and abroad.

The press conference was a great opportunity for the media to get an inside look at the festival’s plans, ask questions to the organizers, and learn what Vilnius will be celebrating throughout the week.
