Irish Ambassador Shows Support for LGBT* Community

Last Friday, national LGBT* rights organization LGL received an exclusive invitation from the Ambassador of Ireland to his residence for an official reception for human rights activists.

David Noonan, the new ambassador, was received by Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė only a few weeks ago. One of his first objectives was to show support for LGBT* community.

Association LGL organized an international conference on homophobic and transphobic bullying last Thursday. Participants were also kindly invited to the Ambassador’s residence.

Mr. Noonan and his wife Cliodhna greeted guests and treated them to drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Guests exchanged thoughts on the conference as well as strengthened their personal ties. Among the invitees were members of foreign organizations, Lithuanian politicians, and LGL team.
