The results show that 22.7 per cent of surveyed Lithuanian gays do not disguise their sexual orientation, compared to the European average of 39 per cent.
The largest number of openly gay men is in the UK (66.9 per cent), Sweden (69.2 per cent) and Norway (72.7 per cent).
All in all, 180,000 gay men were surveyed in 38 European countries, including 595 men in Lithuania, with almost every second Lithuanian gay man living in Vilnius.
