We are proud to announce that “CHOICE” has created online modules with activities aiming to enhance the capacities of secondary school professionals in order to support diversity in the classroom.
These modules will help school professionals implement diversity policies in schools, create an inclusive school environment and raise awareness of the school community and the wider public about SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) related discrimination/bullying/violence. They are available in the “Hombat” e-learning platform.
“CHOICE: Promoting School Environments Inclusive of Diversity based on SOGI” is a European initiative, sequel to Hombat.eu, aiming to promote more inclusive school environments and combat intolerance on the grounds of gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation and/or sex characteristics in Greece, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Romania.
The capacity-building framework draws upon trainers’ manual, curriculum, and other materials developed within the Hombat.eu project, adjusting them to the specific needs for training that were identified within the field research of CHOICE project.
By developing an integrated mechanism for addressing incidents of gender-based violence and discrimination in the school environment, CHOICE aims to contribute to the promotion of inclusive schools that respect diversity.
