On March 29-30, 2022 representatives of the National LGBT Rights Organization LGL participated in the final partners’ meeting and conference of the project “CHOICE: Promoting School Environments Inclusive of Diversity based on SOGI” held in Athens (Greece).

The project conference presented the successful activities of the project, including workshops for educators and parents and an emotional support platform for LGBT students, their parents and teachers.

The project enabled emotional support to be provided to LGBT students in the context of the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic. LGBT students faced the challenges of social isolation, issues in communication with parents and were affected by negative societal attitudes towards LGBT people.

The project “CHOICE: Promoting School Environments Inclusive of Diversity based on SOGI” is implemented with the financial support of the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) Programme of the European Union.
