LGL Volunteers Participated at the Discussion on Erasmus+ Possibilities

On 25th July, 2017 volunteers from the National LGBT* Rights Organization LGL, Tatiana and Giordano, participated at the discussion organized by the European Foundation of Human Rights (EFHR). It was held in Vilnius Youth Information Center and attended by four different organizations. LGL was one of them.

The main purpose of the event was for the participants to present their institutions, their particular agendas, and most importantly share their individual stories linked to volunteering and various Erasmus+ projects. Cozy atmosphere of the youth center contributed to a relaxed and informal atmosphere so the speakers would feel comfortable during their presentations.

Organizers of this event believe that speaking up and sharing individual journeys can immensely contribute to the awareness raising regarding Erasmus+ projects and volunteering as such and subsequently encourage more young people to participate in them. “Moreover, increased participation would generate more good for our communities and directly impact young people’s education through cultural exchange programs.” stated Agneška Malinauskaité, the head organizer from European Foundation of Human Rights.
