Intergroup on LGBT Rights Roundtable: Protection LGBTI Asylum Seekers and Refugees in the Reform of the CEAS

Today, Tuesday 7 March 2017 from 14:00 – 16:00, the Intergroup on LGBTI Rights of European Parliament will host a roundtable on the rights of LGBTI Asylum seekers in the reform of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS).

At this round table, they will discuss how to guarantee that the proposals to reform the European asylum system will work to ensure the rights of LGBTI asylum seekers.

Speakers will include the main rapporteurs for the  files, Tanja Fajon MEP (Qualification Regulation), Malin Bjork MEP (Resettlement Framework) and Sophie in ‘t Veld MEP (Reception Conditions Directive), as well as representatives of civil society. 

The meeting will take place in Brussels, and is open to the public.
