LGL and Demetra: the collaboration is ready to culminate in the Pride House

In the last months, the Lithuanian Gay League had the pleasure to keep a great contact with the Association Demetra and is now taking it to the Baltic Pride 2016 community space, reserved for workshops, lectures and exhibitions!
Celebrating the recent opening of the HIV Checkpoint together with LGL and other organizations and then involving the Lithuanian Gay League during the International Condom Day on the 12th of February, Demetra keeps supporting a sincere collaboration that goes on after years of friendly bond. The upcoming Baltic Pride seems to be the perfect possibility to show gratitude, other than to raise awareness on the importance of health and prevention.

In the context of the Pride House, that will host various queer cultural events, the workshop Staying safe, healthy and fabulous, signed by Demetra, will take place on Tuesday 14 at 3:30 PM.

“A great opportunity to expand your knowledge about HIV and other STDs in a fun and creative way! Increase your awareness and ability to stay safe, healthy and fabulous. Learn to evaluate risky behavior and consequences. Find out the most effective prevention methods.”

During the event, the attendants will have the opportunity to check actively their knowledge and to ask any kind of question they have never had the courage to. They will then meet and discover Demetra and all their services –from their Checkpoint in Kauno str. 3A and its free test of Wednesdays (16:00-19:00) to their Safe-life caravan, a project going on from July the 29th and spreading awareness on wheels around the country.
Gladly we write that the organization for prevention and consultation on cure of HIV and STIs will also take part to the March for Equality and the Pride Park Concert with their testing stand.
