A Lithuanian court has found Petras Gražulis and Kazimieras Uoka, the two members of the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) who resisted police officers at the Baltic Pride march in Vilnius two years ago, guilty of an administrative violation.

A fine of 200 litas (60 euros), the maximum penalty for this violation, was imposed on each MP.

The MPs were part of the mob of counter-demonstrators at Baltic Pride 2010, the first LGBT march for equality to be held in Vilnius, where they crossed police barriers and refused to obey police orders.

Police registered three counts of administrative violation, but the MPs were tried for only one, as the Parliament refused to strip them of their legal immunity against prosecution for violations that would lead to a penalty of administrative detention.
