Killers of Chile gay man Daniel Zamudio sentenced

The 24-year-old Chilean was found beaten unconscious, swastikas carved into his skin, part of his ear cut and had cigarette burns all over his body –

Patricio Ahumada Garay, who prosecutors say masterminded the attack back in 2012, received a life sentence.

The court also sentenced Raúl López Fuentes and Alejandro Angulo Tapia to 15 years in prison.

Fabián Mora Mora received a seven year sentence.

According to reports, Mora had asked the victim whether he was gay, and he responded “yes”. He had suffered a six-hour ordeal at the hands of his captors, and pictures released by his family showed that he had been beaten in the head, burned with cigarettes, and scarred with Nazi symbols and slogans.
