On 24 October 2025, during the ILGA-Europe Annual Conference, representatives of LGL met with Jean-Marc Berthon, Ambassador on secondment and Special Envoy for LGBT+ Rights, to discuss the situation of LGBT+ rights and the lived realities of LGBT+ people in Lithuania.

The conference once again proved to be an important space for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of experiences among activists and diplomats committed to advancing equality.

The meeting provided an opportunity to present the current challenges faced by the local LGBT+ community, share insights, and highlight the progress we strive to achieve despite ongoing obstacles. The exchange also offered a platform for a deeper discussion about the upcoming Lithuanian Pride 2026 and the vital role of international solidarity in promoting human rights across the Baltic region.
