On February 7th, 2017 a meeting in preparation for the upcoming „Rainbow Days“ 2017 festival, organized by the National LGBT* rights organization LGL, was held at the Swedish Embassy in Vilnius.

During the meeting the representatives of LGL, other nongovernmental organizations and foreign embassies discussed the possible cooperation in organizing the upcoming „Rainbow Days“ 2017 festival and ways to ensure that the festival would get to the history as one of the most important events of the local LGBT* community.

In 2017 the “Rainbow Days” festival will take place on May 9th-20th, 2016 in three major cities of the country, namely in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda. The “Rainbow Days” festival evolves around the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT), celebrated internationally on May 17th.
