Are you an established artist? An aspiring one? Would you like to see your works exhibited and raising funds for an LGBT* cause?
Then you are the one LGL is searching for!
LGL is planning to host a wonderful exhibition of artworks on the 14th of May 2015 as part of our Rainbow Days festivities (IDAHOT 2015).
The theme of your work should be related to sexuality, LGBT* experiences or LGBT* Youth, since this is the theme chosen at international level for IDAHOT 2015. It could be a painting, a picture, a sculpture, a design or any kind of artworks inspired, related or affiliated with that theme!
Artists will be invited to exhibit their works and make a short presentation about their work if they should so wish. Anonymous works are accepted too, provided that you can attach a short description of your creation to your work for the general public to gain a deeper appreciation for the pieces symbolism and overall meaning.
How the fundraising will work?
The aim of this event is to raise funds for a very important event that deeply involves the delightful LGBT* community of our country: the next Baltic Pride, to be hosted in Vilnius, in 2016.
As you might have seen, many things are already under way in order to make this event 100% fabulous, unforgettable, proud and inspirational.
We are working in advance to make this event legendary and through this Arts Call you can help us. By participating to this initiative, you will have your work exhibited and if you want can put it up for sale during the exhibition. The price will depend on you and an agreed share of it will go directly into the Baltic Pride 2016 foundation.
The deadline to send us a picture of your work and a short description of it is the 15th of April.
You can write to us at alice@gay.lt for more information.
