Invitation to Participate in Research on the Situation of Trans and Non-Binary persons in the Labour Market

The Lithuanian Gay League invites you to participate in an important scientific study dedicated to researching the experiences of trans and non-binary individuals in the workplace.

About the project: Vytautas Magnus University, together with the Lithuanian Gay League and international partners, is conducting an EU-funded project “Transcending Barriers: Promoting Transgender Inclusion in the Workplace” from 2025-2027.

Why this matters: Lithuania still lacks data on the situation of transgender and non-binary individuals in the labor market. This research will help better understand the needs and challenges these individuals face when seeking employment or working.

How you can contribute: We invite you to participate in the study, which includes:

  • Semi-structured interviews with transgender and non-binary individuals
  • Semi-structured interviews with human resources specialists and managers
  • Quantitative survey

Benefits of the research: The collected data will help create:

  • Training for human resources specialists
  • Mentorship programs for transgender individuals
  • Recommendations for a more inclusive work environment
