LGL Representative Took Part at a Study Visit in Norway

On December 10-14, 2024 Eglė Kuktoraitė, Communications Manager at the National LGBT rights organization LGL, took part at a study visit “Citizen Empowerment and Engagement – The Role Of NGOs” in Oslo, Norway.

The study visit was aimed at exploring citizen empowerment and engagement, civil society sector funding mechanisms, frameworks for advocacy, and support structures. The participants learned how civil society drives positive change and how Norwegian NGOs are funded and supported.

The participants of the visit had an opportunity to meet representatives of the European Wergeland Centre, Oslo Metropolitan University, Oslo city Central Youth Council, Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities, Ministry of Culture and Equality, Association of NGOs in Norway – Frivillighet Norge, Institute for Social Research (ISF) and Norwegian Helsinki Committee.
