The persecution of Jews under National Socialism is widely known. But one seldomly learns about the persecution of other groups: politicals, criminals, anti-socials, Jehova’s Witnesses, emigrants, Romanies, and homosexuals.
On International Holocaust Remembrance Day LGL invites you to find out more about the persecution of homosexuals under National Socialism: Which role did paragraph 175 play before, during, and after National Socialism? Which “special treatment” did homosexuals receive? How did the treatment of lesbians differ from the treatment of gays and trans people?
LGL is carrying out the 10-month project “Volunteering for Visibility and Inclusion” under the Erasmus+ programme EVS (European Voluntary Service).
