“Burst down those closet doors once and for all, and stand up and start to fight.”
― Harvey Milk
In a society in which sexism and heteronormativity are king and queen, frequently one person’s sexuality is more important than their personality. Every non-heterosexual person has to choose either to stay in the closet or to live their life openly. The coming out process becomes an essential part of an LGBT* person. It changes their life forever and it impacts their relationships with other people. It is usually a hard step to make and requires a lot of courage, energy and support, but it grants the freedom to be oneself.
Since Coming Out Day is on October 11th, LGL is organising a workshop.
So join us this Thursday at 18:30 for a great time. Bring an old rigid headband (or buy a cheap one), metal wire, yarn. You could also bring face paint for the creative extraterrestrial part. And don’t forget to bring good vibes and your creativity.
