This t-shirt was created for Rainbow Days 2015, hosted in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda in celebration of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Trasphobia (IDAHOT). The day is celebrated world-wide on the 17th of May. The Rainbow Days festivities of 2007 marked the first time that the IDAHOT was celebrated in Lithuania. This year, Rainbow Days’ campaign was characterized by a rich program of initiatives: from arts exhibitions, film screenings and a reception hosted by the Finnish Embassy of Vilnius to seminars and more social and politically marked initiatives. Particularly important was the social action that took place in Vilnius the day before IDAHOT: on the 16th of May, LGL’s rainbow bus rolled down the streets of Vilnius’s city center once again. The rainbow bus began its journey at the LGBT* center in Vilnius and made stops at two strategically important locations – the Cathedral Square and the Vilnius City Chamber of Marriage. At each of these stops, fifteen passengers left the bus to hold the 30 meters rainbow flag, calling the attention of those passing by, journalists, and government officials to the critical need to protect LGBT* rights.
