Workshop regarding the asexuality took place in LGL`s community center

As there was the Demisexuality Awareness Day on May 4th and the Ace Visibility Day on May 8th, LGL`s EVS volunteers prepared the special workshop to point out also on the specific issues regarding the asexuality. The workshop was called “It`s not all about the sex!”

After short introduction game we divided into three groups to discover the new terms and their meanings. For example, we learned what does it mean to be asexual, demisexual or to be on a grey scale, what is the meaning of words allosexual, ace, repulsed or indifferent (regarding the topic of asexuality). We also learned what is the difference between celibacy and asexuality. After discussion about these topics we divided again into two teams to play a game – argumentation game. The question was “Does asexuality belongs to the LGBT+ community?” We could try to search for the arguments apart from our own and then to defend it – and it is not always easy task. At the end, there was the discussion mainly about what does it mean to be a part of LGBT+ community and why is it important. Are you curious? Come next time in LGL`s community centre!
