Do you want to share your experience with coming out as LGBT* and hear other people’s stories, or get some advice on how to come out to your family, friends or workplace? Then feel free to join our community event! You will be able to share your stories in a comfortable atmosphere. However, sharing your story isn’t obligatory, you’re very welcome to come to the event to just listen to the others!
As a modified part of LGL’s Book Club series you can also optionally relate your coming out process to Cass’ model of coming out stages, which you will find under this link: http://www.uas.alaska.edu/
The model sadly only includes the stages of coming out for lesbian, gay and bisexual people, but all coming out stories are welcome! And maybe the stages also apply to your coming out as e.g. a trans* person or as queer.
The Book Club will resume in its regular form three weeks after this event. This means that next time we will chose a topic based on a book extract and discuss it with a cosy atmosphere with some tea and snacks.
