2nd NORDIC RAINBOW HISTORY & ART MONTH COMES TO VILNIUS

Stockolm/Vilnius — The second Nordic Month promoting LGBT history and culture will once again come to the Lithuanian capital again this year for discussions, art work and film screenings — taking place at the offices of the Lithuanian Gay League (Pylimo 2 at 18.00) and this time part of a program in 11 Nordic cities on both sides of the Baltic Sea.
Presentations on October 25 will be made by Tony Fenwick of the British LGBT History Month program providing rainbow information to schools, “Schools Out,”  Giordano Campanelli of the LGL talking about the organizations’s history and LGBT culture in Lithuania and Bill Schiller of Tupilak (Nordic rainbow culture workers) and ILGCN (international rainbow culture network) speaking about Nordic rainbow culture and Nordic co-operation with colleagues in Eastern Europe.
Art work will include a selection of art and photography from the Tupilak/ILGCN international LGBT collection from over 50 nations and films will include the British drama group’s “Unchechen” about the persecution of gays in this part of Russia,  “When You Hear the Bells” – France /Aflgahnistan about the tragic stories of boy sex slaves of the Middle East, “LGBT Monuments” describing some of the monoments honoring LGBT’s persecuted, imprisoned and murdered over the centuries, and the trailer of a Swedish-made comedy enrolling 500 LGBT activists.
