Bisexual Visibility Day

„Ever since the Stonewall rebellion**, the gay and lesbian community has grown in strength and visibility. The bisexual community also has grown in strength but in many ways we are still invisible. I too have been conditioned by society to automatically label a couple walking hand in hand as either straight or gay, depending upon the perceived gender of each person.“
– Wendy Curry, Michael Page, Gigi Raven Wilbur, 1999

September 23rd is the international Bisexual Visibility Day – let‘s meet an evening before to see and be seen! Dynamic and, hopefully, inspiring event will take place in the National LGBT* Rights Organisation LGL.

**A series of spontaneous violent demonstrations that emeged in 1969 June 28th as response to discriminatory police initiatives against LGBT community in NY province. Stonewall rebellion is considered to be a milestone in LGBT history that was the start of consistent queer movement.
