LGBT+ Mental Health Workshop at LGL

Mental health is instrumental during every stage of life, from childhood, adolescence and through adulthood. It compasses our emotional, psychological and social well-being. The way of thinking, mood, behaviour and social interaction are some of the areas affected by Mental Health. For LGBTI+ individuals, being mentally and emotionally healthy can sometimes be a difficult mission.

To tackle some of these issues, LGL’s LGBT centre had the honour to receive Grytė Ruzgė as the host for our LGBT+ Mental Health workshop. The psychologist with training on LGBT+ topics, stress management, conflict resolution and motivation enhancement, led the open discussion about coming out, self-acceptance in a hostile environment, and even how to seek appropriate care as an LGBT+ individual.

We want to thank everyone who participated in this session, and we look forward to seeing you in our next event.

LGL is carrying out the 10-month project “Disappearing Borders: Empowering LGBT Community and Allies In Lithuania” under the Erasmus+ program EVS (European Voluntary Service).
