The Rainbow Days 2017 Awards Given to Former Lithuanian MPs

Marija Aušrinė Pavilionienė and Dalia Kuodytė, former members of the Parliament of Republic of Lithuania, were honored with the Rainbow Days 2017 Awards.

During the event at the local LGBT* community center, the representatives of the National LGBT* rights organization LGL presented the Rainbow Days 2017 Award for contributions to the LGBT* human rights movement in Lithuania.

On behalf of the local LGBT* community, the representatives of the National LGBT* rights organization LGL thanked the Rainbow Days 2017 awardees for their valuable contributions to advancement of LGBT* human rights in Lithuania.

Marija Aušrinė Pavilionienė, Dalia Kuodytė and representatives of the National LGBT* rights organization LGL discussed the main challenges faced by the local LGBT* community members and celebrated the progress already achieved in seeking advancement of LGBT* human rights in Lithuania.

 

The Rainbow Days 2017 festival, organized by the National LGBT* rights organization LGL, included a traditional Rainbow Bus journey through the streets of Vilnius, protest next to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Lithuania, a festive Rainbow Days event in Vilnius Town Hall, Eurovision party with LaDiva Live, quizzes and an awareness raising campaign in the country’s 3 major cities.
