Lithuanian Singer Ruslanas Kirilkinas to Perform at Rainbow Ball in Vienna

Ruslanas Kirilkinas, Lithuanian singer and the winner of „Music Academy“, will appear at the charity event „Rainbow Ball“, which will be held for the twentieth time on January 28th, 2017 in Vienna. The singer has prepared a special piece for the event – an anthem for the Lithuanian LGBT* community, which will be presented as part of Rainbow Ball‘s cultural program.

Ruslanas Kirilkinas has participated in many television programs in Lithuania. He has also competed twice in Lithuania‘s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest: in 2010, with the song „I Love a Boy Who‘s in Love With a Fairytale“, and in 2016, with the song „In My World“.

He is currently interested in representing Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev, and plans to release a new album. In 2016, Kirilkinas performed at the Baltic Pride 2016 Gala Dinner, as well as the Pride Park concert the following day.

Ruslanas Kirilkinas speaks openly about his sexual orientation and is a proponent of LGBT* rights. In 2014, he suffered injuries from eggs thrown at him during a performance. In 2015, the perpetrator of the homophobic attack was ordered by the court to compensate the singer‘s moral damages and attorney fees.
