Eurovision Stars to Perform at the Baltic Pride 2016 in Vilnius

Eurovision stars Dana International (Israel) and Donny Montell (Lithuania) will perform at the Baltic Pride 2016 festival in Vilnius on June 18th, 2016. The artists will unite in sending a powerful message of tolerance, respect and support for the local LGBT* community.

Israeli singer Dana International is best known as the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham with the song “Diva”. Following up this success, she represented Israel in Eurovision for a second time in 2011. This year Lithuanian artist Donatas Montvydas, better known by his stage name Donny Montell, will also represent his country at the Eurovision for the second time.

Mega-diva and instant gay icon Dana International and LGBT* friendly singer Donny Montell will perform at the Urban Pride Park concert within the framework of the Baltic Pride 2016. Donny Montell is well known for his passionate performances and his continuous support for the LGBT* community in Lithuania. Having performed in LGBT* friendly club in Vilnius several times, the singer found the most energetic and loyal audience.

Representing Lithuania in Stockholm (Sweden), Donny Montell will further promote the message of tolerance. “I disapprove of homophobia, discrimination, bullying, hooliganism, violence and any other behavior incompatible with the ethics and values of tolerance, love and respect,” emphasized Lithuania‘s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.
